This is a nice gesture but I gotta say this (more about the medical community than two celebs)…dystopian as fuck to be in a huge Covid surge with a new respiratory illness being reported and see not a single mask when people are around the most vulnerable kids in a literal hospital.

Yep. As someone with autoimmune issues, the fact that most people seem absolutely horrified at the prospect of simply wearing a mask indoors is baffling to me. (And every time I've been in a hospital setting these past couple of years, the only other person to once put a mask on was a nurse after seeing me wearing mine.)

this surge is so huge, I can't believe it. I was supposed to go to a pediatric cardiology office today for a fetal echo my OB wants me to have done, and i started getting a runny nose and headache this weekend so took a COVID test last night just to be sure before my appointment. Lo and behold, COVID again! 2nd time in less than 5 months.

I am so shocked but so glad I tested. I would've been beside myself if i'd assumed it was just pregnancy rhinitis or allergies and unknowingly exposed that office's waiting room.

I hope people will start stocking up on tests and use them when any symptoms emerge. It's really going around and vulnerable populations will feel it the most.
