I love ologies with Allie Ward. She is a great host and the topics are so wonderfully random that it never gets stale.

Read this NYT article from the perspective of a family member of a murder victim whose case was covered by a true crime podcast and I thought it was really eye-opening and moving. It made me want to reevaluate how I consume true crime content.

Top 3 of your fav podcasts ONTD?

I can spend the whole day listening to music and podcasts, and need some more recs. I love history, food, and general interest stuff. Im not into true crime or podcasts where the hosts waffle for an hour before getting to the point. My top three favs this year were:

1. Gastropod (podcast about food through science and history)
2. Stuff the British Stole
3. Back to the Beach with Kristen and Stephen (It's over now since they've rewatched their laguna beach episodes, but i came out of it being a Kristen fan, after not liking her for years! Her and Stephen did a really good job going back and giving a lot of bts stuff, and the episode with Lauren Conrad was so interesting.)

The Retrievals, CBC's Bloodlines and Kuper Island and I Am Not a Monster were my top this year. I stopped listening to true crime entirely because very few people besides David Ridgen can do them respectfully and with integrity.
