It's a 31 year old highly popular to this day book, but maybe Donna Tartt saw what hollywood did to the Goldfinch and said fuck that.

iirc donna tartt was so offended (?) by the goldfinch adaptation that she even fired someone from her team lmao i don't think she'll even accept a proposal.

although i will say that the secret history could be a fantastic adaptation. but definitely as a mini series.

i read a summary of the script on twitter and it sounds like crap, hopefully they changed it

jenna already seems to have attracted some gross fans (i think it's bc she looks young, younger than her age and she's quite short and petite), this isn't going to help

martin freeman is an asshole, but he's generally a good actor, and idk wtf acting or accent he's doing here.

This actually looks interesting and I have to admit him wanting to keep it professional was extremely refreshing. It also has an interesting theme of how your feelings and emotions can reflect in your art, and how do you straddle the line between being open and being inappropriate, especially when you work involves some else who has inspired you? Or am I giving this movie too much credit?
