my RL example involved a girl who was deeply unwell and insecure - never knew the guy, but he was obviously a gross creep

yeah. The only example I really can think of from my life is a 9th grade English teacher who asked my friend's sister to be his babysitter and then tried to put the moves on her and she was severely grossed out. He was weird and familiar with a lot of the girls in his class, too, and I had been warned about him so I kept a healthy distance. It's just a gross sort of story even in college, tbh.

When I was in 9th there was a teacher having a baby with a former student. He must have been in his 50’s at the time, we all thought it was ick. Cut to last year when I found out in passing that she was a year older than a now friend of mine who graduated the year before I started, which would have put her at 20-21 when she got pregnant. Again at the time I knew he was with a former student. Maybe it was wishful thinking, but up until that point I always assumed she was older like in her 30’s(which still could have been like 20 years difference and is still odd), but it was wild to find out that she was so close in age to me, and based on their timeline it started in school. Barf.
