I think Paul Mescal is very talented, and has an attractive personality and features but I don't think he's got the "it" for a James Bond kind of role.

I can't see him as James Bond, and he seems committed to making interesting choices and working with different filmmakers, so I would be really surprised if he even wanted the gig.

If they insist on casting a while male British or Irish actor I think Jack Lowden or Nicholas Hoult would be a good choice.
