True, I forgot about Oppenheimer. I just feel as though historically, the summer months are for big blockbuster movies and around the holidays is when more award contenders come out. Pushing it back from December of this year to next summer just doesn't look good, but who knows - I could be wrong.

they dropped it from december because of the strike and then it lost distribution entirely so i feel like they're releasing this summer to get it out ASAP

Saw this at AFI Fest and liked it, accents and all.

I honestly think spring or summer is a better fit, anyway - this isn't gonna be an awards thing, but it was fun to watch on a big screen.
