comic sales are bad because most of the books being published are bad and too many writers cant write for shit.

Oh yeah, I'm sure it's that and not the decision to CONSTANTLY restart lines in an oxymoronic effort to make it easier for new readers to "jump in" to comics. It's not the CONSTANT super mega awesome massive epic crossover events that are heroes fighting heroes. It's not the attempted redemption of every single goddamned villain rather than just keeping shit simple with bad guys being bad guys. It definitely has nothing to do with the fact that the prices for comics keeps going up and more and more pages of them are filled with ads.

It's definitely just women with their goddamned vaginas and feelings and demand for respect as equal participants in these power fantasies! If there were just more giant boobs and skimpy costumes and backbreaking T-n-A poses, comics would be fine! Joe Shuster and Stan Lee would come back from the dead if we only did this!!

I liked Ethan's art, too...

But this is a horrible take. God awful. And if it gets him blacklisted, I'm not mad about that at all.

He’s been blacklisted by the major publishers for years, he’s just doing self-published comicsgate work but a lot of it is just grifting with little to show for it.

Yeah I liked his art too- especially how he drew Jean Grey in New X-men. But fuck that piece of trash!

Anyways there aren’t a lot of women writers on major titles at least… Spider-Man, Batman, etc so not sure what he’s even referring to. Women writers tend to get women characters so they’re hardly taking over the industry.

In terms of recs Rainbow Rowell did a great job on Runaways. Tini Howard also did a Thanos/Gamora miniseries a few years ago that was also good.
