Aww, love to see Udo Kier still going at it with anything weird.

Since this is as close to the game awards post as we're gonna get probably...

I loved Alan Wake II and the musical performance LMAO. And people on Twitter not realizing how often Remedy just recasts the same actors in various roles.

I want to make a post tomorrow (if no one else beats me to it), just way too tired to make anything tonight.

The musical performance was everything, probably the highlight of the show for me. I'm glad that Alan Wake 2 got the recognition that it did, I honestly thought that it was only gonna get one award but I'm happy they walked away with three pretty big awards.

I know! I haven't played it yet, but I know what all happens (and obviously about the musical number) because I am a Control fan (I like Control more than Alan Wake >.>). I was kinda hoping we might have gotten a Control 2 teaser, but we got a Control cameo in a sorta way since Matthew Porretta did briefly appear at the start of the number (and was singing the song off-screen otherwise since he's the voice of Alan Wake). Hence my LOLing at people shocked Dr. Darling and Alan Wake have the same actor (or voice actor, for Alan).

I thought for sure Timothee was there for a Hideo game reveal, but I appreciate that he didn't overstay his welcome on stage. Gotta rush those pesky game devs and voice actors for the famous people and ads.

I'm not a Timothee fan but I appreciate that he was the only celebrity that actually cut to the chase. This was probably one of the best years for gaming in a very long time but this year felt like they gave even less time to the game awards and way too much time to celebrities advertising their mid af looking games (looking at you Matthew McConaughey, Matt Mercer, and Simu Liu...).

It was incredibly disappointing that the winners were given literally only 30 seconds for their acceptance speeches especially when Swen was honoring the memory of the lead cinematic artist that passed away recently.

Right. The only one of those games I remember anything about was McConaughey's because I made a joke about "the song from Twilight" on Discord.

And playing over Neil's speech about the acceptance fans have felt playing BG3 felt ghoulish. The Oscars give their winners 45 seconds. They need to extend them. A couple of those game reveals could have played during the ad breaks.
