I really like Aquaman the character like from the Justice League cartoon days of my youth. I just always resonated with a character that can speak to and work with animals as a kid. I don't really know the lore in depth or anything I just remember wanting to be Aquaman and be able to live in the sea with the animals. These movies have done 0 for me as an adult. It's just a big CGI fest with no magic.

The New 52 is polarizing as a whole but Aquaman's New 52 comics are genuinely really great and feature Mera quite a lot too.

I really question whether Jason Momoa has the draw to justify a 15mil paycheck. Also why is Yahya paid so little in comparison when he’s the main villain (right??) I know he’s a smaller name than Jason but that is a steep difference

You’re likely right and his contract might not even be all that lucrative by Hollywood standards. It’s just hard to see it as justifiable when us plebs are struggling and he gets 15mil for a movie so few people seem to care about (and he’s just a questionable person so I don’t like that either)
