At the end of the play the “producer” appears and gives Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells’ characters a contract for their Johannes Gutenberg musical.

A different celebrity has played the role for each show, and it was Idina Menzel on Sunday’s.

Yes! The premise is they're two talentless dummies who make a terrible musical and spend all their money to get it on Broadway for 1 night. Then they !surprise! get a Broadway contract in the end. It was forgettable tbh but Josh & Andrew were great
