i'm glad this is making such a big fuss but its hardly the first film to go through this even in the last year so i'm wondering why this one specifically?
Part of the distrust maybe the fact they're shelving their own globally known IP that helped put WB Studios on the map. If they can shelve this, what makes non-WB work safe *after* all the others kind of thinking.
I remember Batgirl but were there others? I thought it was just that one.
I honestly think this one got more attention cause it was associated with bigger names like James Gunn and Cena (and my cynical side says more White guys/American directors).
I call bull on the directors really uniting and pushing back tbh.
the streaming collapse is so predictable, it's like everyone saw it coming and no one really did anything about it
the studios were like, 'welp let's start a new service and see if this one sticks!'
netflix started canceling everything before they had to actually pay people decent money after S3, then they just started canceling everything as a matter of course
Zaslav is doing the messy shit he's doing
now they're all getting bitchy about password sharing. welp, the only way I've been legally streaming for the past four years has been because me and my little circle of peeps each took on ordering one or two and sharing. Not one of us is willing to pay for all of them personally, because it's stupid expensive!
Hulu's catalog fell apart when Peacock cropped up and NBC pulled their shit, it's all a mess
Adding to this, it's so complicated to keep up. For instance, Peacock doesn't exist in Germany. So you can't get access to BravoCon content for example. It's very limited marketing, having so many different services.
yeah and streamers like, for example, Disney+ who actually own amazing large catalogs of content, don't even put everything they own up on Disney+. like c'mon. I get it when it's netflix and they aren't historically content makers until recently but you can't say that for Disney especially after they bought 21st Century Fox!
Exactly! They take so much off. We don't have Plus for that reason. We can get more on YouTube to keep kiddo entertained than paying an arm and leg for constantly vaulted content.
