Legend Dolly Parton recorded a new version of her 1973 hit "Jolene" with Italian band Måneskin. The track is only officially available via a digital download of Parton's new album Rockstar being sold via her website

I love Måneskin, but "Jolene" is already perfect on its own and does not need any covers/new versions

it's not a bad cover and it's one of the only 3 songs of Miley that I like, but it does not add anything to the original unlike some covers that actually manage to improve the songs (like Running up that hill by Placebo, Hurt by Johnny Cash, or I will always love you by Whitney if we want to talk about dolly's songs) so I do not consider it a great cover that was needed

I love the Dolly versions of other people’s songs, but I don’t love other people’s versions of Dolly’s songs, with Whitney’s I Will Always Love You being the one and only exception.

I actually enjoyed it. Those Maneskin guys are a lot of fun, and Dolly is Dolly, of course.

I like the new songs way better than any other single they have put out since Eurovision (aside from "The loneliest")

I'm still salty about how they totally dropped "Teatro d'ira Vol I", there could have been at least 2 more singles out of it ("Coraline" and "La paura del buio", or "For Your Love" if they wanted an english song)
