the last sketch was a miss and idk what to think about tate mcrae. but i liked it despite my distaste for momoa. sarah sherman finally stepped up with that pre-tape, jajmukes rode again. my boy longfellow got some solid screentime, devon walker had an update feature, and the ensemble got to shine in the cold open/airport/club sketches.

the downsides besides the final sketch i guess would be the cold open, pdd (lower tier for them), the dated references (they didn't need to quote the tiktok in that airport sketch and the roman empire song was boring besides the dinosaur and astrology bits) and...the bowen stuff. he's a great writer and performer but the panda thing and then the tired george santos. i know he can do better! i'm also over che and jost but that's to be expected. please leave midseason and give longfellow the desk already.

Aw man, Colin Jost’s sign was sad. Idk if anyone else noticed it. Dana Carvey’s son died of an accidental overdose this week.

i was just gonna add a comment to include it. i remember when dana hosted in 2011 and how brought both his sons onstage with him at the goodnights. he's said that he hosted the show again just so they could spend the week with him there. it's so sad, he was way too young.
