Cassie sued Sean Combs (Puff Daddy/Diddy) in federal court today, accusing him of rape and physical abuse. The two previously dated and she was signed to his record label.
She says that shortly after meeting him in 2005 when she was 19, he began a pattern of control and abuse that included plying her with drugs, beating her, and forcing her to have sex with male prostitutes while he filmed it. In 2018 near the end of their relationship he forced his way into her house and raped her.
“After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.” Cassie said
Sean Combs offered her 8 figures to silence her and prevent the lawsuit.
She also alleges that he blew up the car of a rival suitor and dangled one of Cassie's friends over a 17th floor balcony. Others who worked with him helped control her by threatening her with retribution including not releasing her music if she didn't follow orders.
In one incident in LA in 2009, Combs became enraged after he saw her talking to another man, pushed her into a car, and repeatedly kicked her in the face making her bleed. He then had his staff bring her to a hotel to recuperate for a week and refused to let her return home to her parents.
In 2012 he was so angry about her dating Kid Cudi that he threatened to blow up his car. Shortly after, Kid Cudi's car exploded in his driveway.
He coerced her to engage in a fantasy of his called 'voyeurism' in which she was directed to have sex with a succession of male prostitutes while he filmed and masturbated. He called these 'freak offs' and they included masquerade masks and took place at high-end hotels. At one 'freak off' in 2016, he punched her in the face giving her a black eye. He fell asleep and when she tried to sneak out, he woke up, followed her into the hallway, and threw glass vases at her. The hotel's security cameras captured the incident but Combs paid the hotel $50k for the footage.
In 2018, he pushed his way into her apartment and raped her while she repeatedly told him no and tried to push him away. After that, she left him for good.
