32x8: Whitney Houston Night The seven remaining couples dance to hit songs from one of the bestselling music artists of all time, Whitney Houston; guest judge Billy Porter.
Still looking forward to Alyson Hannigan being eliminated. That choreography for contemporary was awful lmao
Barry was living his best life in his dance off, I forgot to watch Jason. I'm sad he went, he seemed to be having so much fun, rumba is hard to do well.
I still find Charity overrated. She and Jason aren't bad but they don't look like they've improved much. Even Harry has shown more noticeable improvement, he almost moves in time with the beat some of the time now, bless.
Oh and I love the music but I feel like they could've used it better? Like a tango version of I Wanna Dance with Somebody could've been cool
I was only vaguely aware of Jason Mraz' existence before this show, but he's honestly my favorite. He seems to be both taking it seriously and having a lot of fun, and he's a real entertainer. I don't think he'll win, but I think this show might be good for his career anyway.
(but I have to say Barry really won that dance off - he was pretty great!)

I agree with this assessment. To be honest, I was not a fan of his music (I lived in San Diego so I was already tired of hearing the coffee house kids wax poetic about how amazing he was - when his first album blew up a few years later, I was like FUCK now I have to hear him on the radio too?!). But I think he has been a good contestant on this show because he is getting a good amount of dance content in his routines each week, he's clearly making an effort, but it's obvious that he is having a really good time and enjoying the experience.
I still don't love his music, but my mom went to see him a few weeks before the season started and she said it was a really fun show.
Harry continues to be the worst dancer left on the show (it's been true for eight weeks now). I hate that he is avoiding elimination due to his fan base. I think he waltzed for less than ten seconds of that entire routine.
Alyson's routine was not contemporary. The most accurate description of what she did was arm choreography.
Someone needs to tell everyone on this show that it's really unprofessional to sing along to the songs. I excuse the celebs (even though their pros should have told them this in week one). Val should absolutely know better. I get that it's tempting to sing along when it's a song you know really well, but part of being a performer is resisting that urge. The audience is allowed to sing along but the dancers are not!
I really like Xochitl, but I didn't think that was an across the boards perfect 10 routine. I think she's capable of one but I didn't think that was it. I thought her dance off performance was much better (and I still don't understand how Charity won that battle).
I’m so sad about Barry leaving. He was sooo good in the dance off and Peter Brady was there to support him! It should have been Jason that got voted off. I like him, but he’s only impressed me once and that was weeks ago. Last night he seemed out of it. Anyway, they’re really going to let Harry win this whole show and that makes me mad!
