I’m excited for next week because I’ll be alone. Parents are going visit family out of state for about a week or so, my cousin is visiting his dad (also out of state) until NYE, and I get the place to myself. No idea what I’ll eat during that time but right now I just want the solitude.

ETA: I prefer dressing. Stove Top is fine, but homemade isn’t bad depending on how wet or dry it is. Stuffing just tastes weird after being shoved up a turkey.

Stuffing also does not keep well as leftovers, it is better in the casserole dish to reheat.

Stuffing is very much a use it or lose it type of dish. Most other dishes keep but that? Newp!

I love all Thanksgiving food, can’t wait for next week, and will be eating STUFFING that isn’t actually stuffed, but I’m not calling it dressing. (Ironically, my grams used to actually stuff the bird and yet she called it dressing, lol.)

My dinner contribution by request is always my corn pudding.

Do you have a favorite corn pudding recipe? I think I’m going to try making it this year.

I use this recipe: https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/corn-pudding/

It might be the dish I use, but normally have to bake longer than 45-50 minutes. At least an hour or so.

We don't celebrate like round table toast. We just cook and happy no work for a few days.
My aunt passed some years ago and she was the dressing maker in the family so..yeah mom's just doesn't do it 😒 she does try and we lie. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I’m gonna be alone this year but I’m looking forward to the 4 day weekend. I’ll make myself some mashed potatoes and stovetop stuffing.

Not a stuffing fan. Mushy bread that tastes like celery? Yeah, I’m good
