Speaking of K-dramas, I started Castaway Diva yesterday thinking it'd be a kinda silly show and it is, in some respects.

But WOW was also almost immediately darker than I expected because of the child abuse that I was NOT expecting at all.

Someone on tumblr wrote that kdrama is silly, but first they have to give you the horrors... and yeah. Horrific.

Does that mean you don't watch it because someone on tumblr said it? It is so diverse, I am not sure how "silly" can equate across all the various ways to tell a story

I love kdramas, but i no longer fall for the "cute and quirky" premises. Korean dramas never shy away from sensitive themes and I apreciate it, but it can be quite shocking if you know nothing about kdramas.
