Timothée Chalamet appeared on Saturday Night Live for the second time last night. The gig may have been originally booked to promote the now-rescheduled Dune sequel, but was still timely in that it was recorded mere days after the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike, and a month before the premiere of the upcoming Wonka film

SNL drops a Hamas joke on a skit where Timothée Chalamet says he has a band called Hamas, which is followed by a ‘Please Don't Destroy’ member saying he’s not sharing a band by that name:

i get the discrepancy in treatment on a larger scale but this was a single line and they were not shitting on genocide, it was purely the absurdity of the band name.

idk i don't get it and am fine with calling shit out if it's warranted but this one is strange to me. the reaction feels very over the top.
