Tbf, isn’t that most people? Most people don’t own farm animals, but they own dogs/cats and are disgusted at the idea of eating another dog/cat, but fine with eating farm animals.

I own cows but I also eat them - my stipulation is that I don't interact with our beef cows and my partner takes care of them.
