I saw The Marvels tonight and it was fun! Not perfect but I still had a good time and people in my theater were laughing.

Saw the movie tonight.

C/P: Just finished The Marvels a little bit ago. I really liked it. Especially the first half. The highlight was Ms. Marvel and family. Definitely going to check out her show now. The audience also really seemed to enjoy them.

The weakest part was probably the villain. My sister also said the sound was off, which I agree. I was very "meh" about the post credit scene but it got a big reaction from the crowd. Overall not even close to the worst marvel movie. I really went in there expecting to hate it but it was very enjoyable.

the very few times my audience giggled was with ms marvel and her fam. u will absolutely love her show. i may do a rewatch.

kamala and the khans were one of the highlights of what marvel/disney+ has put out. her family is hilarious and cute and after it had aired, a lot of people online were hoping her family would show up. Iman is so freaking charming and i've seen a few people jokingly call her feige's successor because she's a huge nerd for comics and may actually know the stuff better than him lol.

but i saw someone say the villain they used in this was just as much of a weak link in the comics as she was in the movie. i can't wait to go and see it this saturday.

Hope you enjoy the movie. I think you'll at least like the parts with Kamala and her family. Her mom was great. I actually enjoyed most of the movie.

I guess for me the villain felt very low stakes.
