The NASCAR race in Chicago seemed better planned than this and the race itself was still a shitshow so... we shall see.

they're really trying to cater to everyone. giving the us americans a third us race so they will finally love them (yet making it too much of a commitment to tune in for east coast people), hold it at a weird time on a saturday night so the europeans can watch it as a sunday gp, promise glitz glam and celebrities yet there are not enough people willing to afford that absurdly high prize point.

fingers crossed the cold temperatures and small number of corners turn this track into a bumper car experience.
the ticket and hotel prices radically falling has brought me so much joy, who do they think is their target audience with those original prices lol

They probably thought that the dummies who overpaid for stuff in Miami would do the same in Vegas.

I don't have that kinda cash lying around but if I had I'd much rather overpay at a summer-y Miami GP than a November nighttime GP in Vegas. And from what I've seen it seems like they've build grandstands over a bunch of Vegas attraction, turned them off, etc. so you can't even get the full tourist experience out of it either.
