Honestly I never considered myself a birder AT ALL before visiting Aotearoa - I was mainly looking forward to seeing all the strange trees and epic landscapes. But the birds there are ridiculously accessible - they’re everywhere and seem super trusting compared to what I’m used to in Europe. So it was really easy to spot them and I got hooked immediately. I hope you get go there!
