Megan Fox sat down with Good Morning America and discussed her new poetry book (Pretty Boys Are Poisonous), which is out now.

She writes about tumultuous relationships in her book. She says that she has been abused, and says that the book is a message to women: that you don't have to suffer in silence.

I about fell out of my chair at work one day when I heard our principal talking with a little girl about another student, “oh, he’s just picking on you cause he likes you…”. FUCKING KNOCK THAT SHIT OFF! I told the school therapist immediately so she could set him straight. You don’t say that shit to kids!

I have always had conversations with my kids about red flags, consent, what healthy/unhealthy relationships look like and my daughter still got sucked in by an abusive douchebag.

I had no idea. She was always so happy when he’d come over. He always took time to converse with me and my husband. Literally had zero clue he was a piece of trash. Luckily, she got away from him and makes an effort to come to me when she needs relationship advice.
