I actually think he's fine solo as long as he has lots of backup dancers around him. He's used to being the centre in BTS. I don't think he's nearly as comfortable just alone on a stage though.
Of the 7 members, he's always been the one I thought had the best chance of breaking out solo in the west. In terms of being most comfortable on stage solo, I think that's J-Hope maybe?

So basically a group setting with auto-tune as a feat. I'm happy for him getting his check and all that, but boy isn't a good performer or singer and has little to no charisma He's cute, he can dance but he's no u-know or minho, he doesn't have that it factor
idk I think he's decently/slightly talented (dance/vocals) and has a modicum of charisma. The kind of charisma that dumb frat boys sometimes have only when they're hitting on each other's mothers (often successfully). So def not much, but just a little bit of something.
I don't see anyone else in BTS having as much commercial success as him. I do agree that looks + the BTS platform are hard carrying his solo work though.
Ugh I love this lol. He has bops, I must admit. I followed BTS extensively but in like 2016-2017 and he's still dumb as rocks but that's ok. Dumb baes can get it too.
I love yes or no and too sad to dance, I like hate you and shot glass of tears, standing next to you is ok, the rest in meh on. I prefer when he does pop over dance.
Out of the 7 he is the most marketable for the west. That being said he isnt enuciating his words and i need subtles to underatabd what he is saying, it also doesnt help that he normally sings very high
