I got chills listening to John's isolated vocals in the promotional short film. The final product is poignant and melancholy. Giles Martin really brought it with the string arrangement.

I'm glad Paul and Ringo finally got to put this out. I hope people watch the short film to put to bed any ideas of AI ghoulery/cash grabbing on the part of the remaining Beatles. Clearly a lot of love and respect to the musical legacies of John and George. I only wish they'd gotten a quote from Dhani as well for the promo film.

I was really surprised they didn't get anything from Dhani. He's always so hands-on in regards to his father's legacy.

They already had that era in 96 lmao this was one song they couldn't make work with the technology at the time

Anyway, I heard the song on the radio this morning, and it's okay. I’m not going to pretend I’m not happy to hear a Beatles song in 2023, but I'm more impressed with the mix and the process than anything. Paul and Ringo genuinely seemed to care about doing it justice, right down to George's slide guitar solo and making it feel like a Beatles song of the time. Incredibly impressive, and a good use for the technology--as a tool. I'll be curious to see if other old demos get cleaned up in the same way in the future.

I cried through almost the entire 12 min of the short film.
Anyway, I thinks it’s beautiful how it came together.

I had never listened to John's demo that was floating around, so I went in totally blind. It's a more melancholy song than I expected, and wishing my dad could hear it with me made me cry. I'm glad they put this out, even if when it was announced I wasn't sure. I understand Peter Jackson made a video, so I'm really looking forward to that and I'll probably cry some more.
