Mera wasn’t in your head while you worked on a movie based on a comic plot line that heavily features her (as well it might because she’s the mother of the baby it revolves around).

But you bumped up Atlanna’s role so she could explain Atlantis politics to Arthur, despite Mera being his wife and mother of his child and more to the point, far more involved in recent politics than his mom who’d been absent several years.

It's more like those movies have been running on HBO/HBO Max since they came out and no one is watching them anymore. I saw a chart of the most in-demand movies there and The Suicide Squad is the #3 movie and the rest are barely on the list.

So WB is just trying to squeeze every last nickel out of these duds, which isn't surprising.
