I'd be worried that ppl wouldn't put their phone away after intermission

i went to a screening of lawrence of arabia with an intermission (how it was shown theatrically at the time - similar runtime to KOTFM) and this was not an issue at all!

As someone who has to pee when confronted with the slightest drop of moisture I would LOVE an intermission. These days they're not popular anymore so I just sit there like dehydrated Spongebob waiting for the movie to end.

The struggle is real, every time I'd go to a concert I would need to pee at least two times, in the summer I saw Alicia Keys and I was drinking beer before it started, I had the urge to pee the whole time, I had to go about 4 times.
After that I decided to literally not drink anything the day of a concert, I've been to three more concerts and luckily it worked, didn't have to pee, at the expense of fucking dying of thirst all day.

Omg the struggle. Planes are the worst for me. I've started getting aisle seats just so I don't have to shove past people to go to the bathroom.

Frankly intermissions should still be a thing.

I remember back in the day when my parents went and saw the Patriot they had an intermission. Honestly it makes a lot of sense for the theaters. People get to pee which means they’re less hesitant to buy a drink and they might buy extra snacks.

Why the fuck do studios even care??

I'm sure the studios and theaters could work out a deal for so much of a percentage goes back to the theater for intermission bought snacks and food. These companies just enjoy letting money opportunities pass them.

studios care because adding intermissions means less showtimes for their movies which means less money. it’s all about greed.

I've never been so close to wetting myself as I was during this film, and I have a teacher's bladder and normally never have this issue (Oppenheimer was fine!)

Still would prefer not to have intermissions though, ruins the flow of the films so you'd only want it to be brief but then there would inevitably not be enough ladies' loos if you're in a popular screening etc

Oppenheimer had me SAT in my seat. I barely felt the 3 hours

I’ve heard KoTFM is slightly bloated though, thoughts?

I saw Oppenheimer more than once in the theater and yes the 3hrs flyby. KoTFM does drag. I doubt I'll see it again.

Interesting. I really like Oppenheimer but I thought the last 40 (?) minutes dragged because they were going over stuff we’d already seen.I was much more invested in KoTFM.
