OK so the weird thing is, I applied to be an extra on Gladiator 2 way back at the beginning of summer. Over the weekend I got a reply from the casting agency asking for my availability between mid-November to December. So like?! Are these geezers on strike or not??

I wonder if it's because they expect to have the strike over soon.

That thought did cross my mind tbh!

Anyway I hope things work out for everyone, so most importantly of all, I get to see Pedro IRL 😇

IA with the exemptions; I get it for very small productions at the beginning, because if those studios can do it, why can't WB, but at this point, take the loss. Say "No, we won't promo even though they said we can."

100% agree there should have been ZERO exemptions (after the very few/limited ones just to complete an indie film, but NOT to promote them.)

I think the way the SAG-AFRTA strike has played out has highlighted the internal divisions in the guild. Even if the strike ends this week, they need to figure that out. And rich A-list celebs need to make themselves more visible partners to low income earners in the guild besides when the strike is inconveniencing their deals or award campaigns.
