GQ features Timothee Chalamet, star of the upcoming Wonka, on their cover this month. They have five covers + a full photoshoot, as well as an interview already excerpted here.
he's good in Dune because Paul is such a blank canvas, and I did like him in the French Dispatch for the same reason (and both characters have immaturity to them), but I feel he's now at the point where all his roles are 'Timothee Chalamet as.....' rather than me believing in the character. I still haven't seen cmbyn, forgive me!
that's definitely the vibe I am getting from the Wonka trailers, which sucks. but I am hoping it's just a miscast situation, or it's not as bad in the film as it seems in the trailers.
CMBYN was skeevy but it was the only time I found his performance worthy of praise however I was probably blinded by the wonderful colors and scenery of 1980s Italy.
Michael Stulhbarg (sp?) was the true star of the movie for me, his monologue should’ve at least given him a supporting actor nom.
and I was forced to become very in touch with my increasingly out-of-touch life. It was not good for me.”
This Harry Styles sounding bitch
Also re Austin - my man had one (1!!!) awards circuit movie and suddenly he’s this acclaimed thespian that his peers learn from give me a break everyone in Hollywood is so full of themselves
I’m not insulting him! I’d say that about anyone! I just find it unrealistic someone is so well admired after one movie. I also didn’t get the Florence Pugh hype for instance or how everyone is hyping that Dominic Sessa guy before the movie even came out. It was a broader comment on Hollywood not your boo!

This makes me so grateful that I grew up with Ryan Phillipe & Skeet. Hell, Leo didn’t get ugly until the last decade or so.
