Ok see, I don't get that take because I like seeing a flawed protagonist. I also think it's understandable for a person financially struggling to feel a certain way about their very rich friend (Charlotte came from a rich family and was just biding her time searching for a WASP husband) who is intentionally unemployed, living in a Park Avenue apartment, still wearing her 40k engagement ring, not offering a loan when you're desperate. Not that Carrie deserved a loan! But come on, being poor around rich friends can suck unless you're a saint. I like seeing shows about people who aren't saints. It'd be boring if all protagonists were perfect.
I like SATC because I like flawed characters the way irl friend groups are flawed. I don't have to relate to everything a character does to be captivated by a show. Like Carrie cheating on her boyfriend still pisses me off, i'd never cheat on someone, but it was a great storyline.

I’ll always want to know about this sort of “mutual decision” behind Chelsea Peretti leaving because the interviews she gave made it sound not entirely mutual.

Do people think she actually put cement in people's drinks?
