Thank you for mentioning Amber Heard's In the Fire OP! ❤️💐

It's an Indie so it may play at the local art house but isn't listed there yet - some movies play there months after release.

Either way I will support it in person or by renting it online. 🎬📽

And thanks for the weekly posts! 🎃🧡🎃🧡🎃

Doubt I'll see anything this weekend because I'll have guests in town, and there is not one Swiftie in the bunch. We may go to see Stop Making Sense as a group if we have time and are feeling it, but lbr, we'll probably just end up lazing around and chatting.

I saw Anatomy of a Fall via Beyond Fest last week, and I thought it was excellent. Sandra Hüller and Swann Arlaud are both fantastic, and the script and direction are very sharp. The ending is a little overly long, imo, but that's really my only criticism. I hope it manages to pick up some award noms even though it's not France's International Film submission.

Last night, I saw Dicks: The Musical, and that was a lot of fun! Definitely either very much for you or very much not. Glad it made some money last weekend, because like Bottoms (but to an even greater degree), there is a ceiling on the audience for this one, lol. Nathan Lane MVP.

IA about Anatomy of a Fall, overall, I found the movie to be engrossing, but it started to drag at the end.

I just saw Anatomy of a Fall and I really liked it! Sandra Hüller deserves all the praise she’s been getting (she made me get emotional during her monologue about relationships and I’m not even in one!) The entire ensemble was fantastic as well and I thought Justine Triet‘s direction was really strong throughout the film.

I also rewatched The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie this past weekend (for semi-obvious reasons). The first time I saw this movie was for my high school French class so seeing it now as an adult, who consistently struggles with making dinner plans with friends, hit differently lol

the road dance looks depressing but also 100% like something i would eventually watch?

i watched fair play and totally killer this past weekend, and i enjoyed both in very different ways lmao

likely won't be watching much this weekend due to a family event i can't wait to get over with, but i do have tickets for the imax matinee of killers of the flower moon a week from tomorrow.

I really enjoyed Totally Killer! It was like a mix of Back to the Future and Scream and I had a good time.

Now that we’ve reached spooky month, may go to an early morning showing of A Haunting in Venice.
