Yeah no one gaf about Jabba that much to want a film about him. That whole concept is laughable.

Plus the sexual degradation he put Leia and his other captives he chained like animals through was disgusting. Ofc that’d probably be the one thing men would enjoy watching.

Star Wars and it's baffling inclusion of sexual slavery into its properties that are in no way capable of handling the topic.

I would! He's the reason I watched Return of the Jedi a zillion times as a kid. Couldn't tell you why he intrigued me so much.

But I happen to be no one, so you're correct.

i missed out on the pan's labyrinth hype (recently watched it and thought it was very good!) and also have never seen hellboy so this might be a little harsh on del toro but i find the entire problem with star wars to be that people think every character needs a cinematic backstory.

no cares about jabba like that. feels like we as a fandom all barely tolerate the hutts as characters honestly.

I’m honestly not fully convinced by Del Toro as a filmmaker. He’s had many missteps.

i haven’t watched a lot of his movies but i feel like i may not vibe with him which is sort of a bummer because he seems like a nice cool fun dude as like, a person… but pacific rim was fine as a big silly action film but felt very overhyped to me and did not stay with me at all, and i was soooo excited for nightmare alley because i LOVE the novel, which is totally deranged, but i got like halfway through and never went back to finish it… i found it boring, bradley cooper felt WILDLY miscast, it’s fine to make changes from the book but some of the specific changes made felt off or kinda sexist almost? idk. but i still haven’t done pan’s labyrinth which everyone says is his masterpiece so i’m making myself suspend judgment until then. lol.

I haven’t seen his Pinocchio yet, but I really dislike all his recent movies. Pacific Rim actually infuriated me; Shape of Water was terrible; Crimson Peak was cheap and unimaginative…and Nightmare Alley…
Pan’s Labyrinth is definitely his best, although dare I say, I feel it’s a bit overrated. I might have to watch it again

They would have done better greenlighting a movie about StormTrooper #2748272 than Jabba The Hutt.

i lowkey kinda want a series where 2 stormtroopers fall in live during their downtime.

Not like a Finn situation.
These are active stormtroopers who find love in a hopeless place.

Make it GAY

I would have liked a Jabba film. I feel the same way about him that Diego Luna does.
