I spent this week revisiting jpegmafia and warp records stuff lmao but i really enjoyed a few of the NCT 127 tracks !

i love 127's comeback. i love the whole album, the title track is definitely ~tamer~ than what i was expecting, but good either way. they also had an interview with rolling stone about it that i read and it was cute.

i think (g)i-dle's ep is fine? i like it, it's catchy and club bangers. i wouldn't say it's really their sound though, but kpop groups usually do other types of sounds for english releases and i think they try to gear their stuff towards what they think the western market wants.

also into dpr ian's album! i only just started listening to him.

Fact Check kind of feels like a mixture of more recent title vibes and some of their older title vibes. Idk how to describe it. But it’s really catchy and I like it. But I think this may be one of my favorite albums by them… maybe it’s because one of their main producers jetted after lsm was kicked in solidarity, but it feels like Johnny and Yuta got more time to shine. if this album is going to be one of their last full group comebacks in a while, I’m happy with it.

And DPR Ian… I’ve been getting more into him lately. My friend talks him up so much, I’ve been consuming more of his stuff because of it.

they need to let johnny sing more and do less talk-rap because he's got a pleasant sounding singing voice. yuta can actually sing so him having more lines is always a plus in my books too lol.

Paramore's remix album also came out and it's meh, but I usually hate remixes. Some are pretty terrible though. I don't know how they managed to make two terrible versions of Running Out of Time and the instrumentals on Big Man, Little Dignity sound like noise that doesn't flow at all with the vocals. I liked Remi Wolf's version of You First though.

The demo of Sanity is the best part of it though. It's like After Laughter and This is Why had a baby.

I like the Bartees Strange and Julien Baker songs, but I admit there may be bias to my opinion as I'm a big fan of both of those artists already. I like the Wet Leg one too!
