Sufjan Stevens releases new album and comes out in memorial post to his deceased partner

Sufjan Stevens' new album Javelin is out today. He has dedicated it to his parter, Evans Richardson, who passed away in April of this year.

It is the first time Stevens has publicly commented on his romantic life.

Poor Sufjan, so much loss. I'm glad he seems comfortable sharing a bit more about his life lately. I think I read that he's supposed to get out of the hospital today, too?

Of course the album is gorgeous!! My early favorites are Everything That Rises and Shit Talk.

he diagnosed with Guillian-Barre Syndrome and left unable to walk. he has been going through intense physical therapy for a while now.
