Wait, is the SAG strike over?

No, so I am curious about how Pete is allowed to host. Maybe it's a different contract, idk.

I'm so confused because I saw this and idk if they think the strike will be over by then

Guests are back in Studio 8G starting tonight! @sethmeyers welcomes @tracymorgan, @chrislhayes, @nick_Offerman, Siobhan Fallon Hogan, Anne Hathaway, David Byrne ( @DBtodomundo) and music from @jungle4eva! Plus, @reynlord sits in with the 8G Band! pic.twitter.com/95LoKlN5Q3

So far none of Seth's guests has talked about or promoted any new work/movies/shows. They have lots of other things to talk about that don't violate the SAG terms anyway. Lots of talk about what they did during the 5-month long writer's strike, so it's all been very pro-union.

I have a feeling that until the strike is over, it will be musicians doing double duty.

I guess SAG actors are allowed to be on SNL? Maybe it’s a different contract since it’s live TV? (Because wouldn’t the cast be in SAG?)

the contract SNL has with networks is different and it’s not being struck by SAG-AFTRA. it’s confusing, but it’s the same reason why late night shows and actors can be on DWTS right now
