So The School of Rock Kids Went Through Some Shit...

"School of Rock" kids faced bullies after the film's release.

Joey Gaydos Jr. (Zack) says he was made to feel like "a three-headed freak" at school: "Some older girl [came up and smacked] me in the face because 'Look at that weird guy from the movie.'"https://t.co/Qt4N0akBti

I was expecting the whole article to be about all these terrible things that happen during production based on the tweet, but it’s still a pretty positive piece overall and everyone seemed to have a great experience working on it.

sounds like most of the shit was how people treated them after. Other kids are so cruel.

Just another demonstration of how children need to be raised open-minded, perchance.

When we talk about child actors, it's true that how the outside (of the industry) world is going to treat them isn't often mentionned.

Wtf at Linklater, my god.

Also I've said so before but I went to college with the guy who played Spider in this, the long haired guy who replaced Jack Black's character in the band. He was quiet and genuinely nice *to me,* but made some mildly sexist comments before graduation that made me side-eye him & now he's a Republican prosecutor. I don't remember exactly what the comments were, now, over a decade later, but I seem to remember it making me realize he was anti-choice.
