I thought about this A LOT when I was getting to my 30s. Men know exactly what they are doing and the power imbalance. Demi's song 29 has also a perfect verse for this "Finally twenty-nine / Seventeen would never cross my mind".

I was never groomed but still met my husband when I was 21 and he was 31. When I reached 31, I also thought "wtf was he thinking"... So I can sympathise. It takes some growing and perspective to see things in a clear light.
