I'm glad she's speaking openly about it. We have to normalize this as a choice for anyone with a uterus to make. The part about her being in her late 20s and not using contraception makes me think of that episode of SATC where Carrie talks about getting an abortion at 23 and how she was "old enough to know better."

Look, we're all old enough to know better but shit happens. And even contraception can fail. Condoms break or slip off. At least now we have plan B but no one should be shamed for making a mistake. We're human. That said, please remember to use a condom, pregnancy isn't the only thing you want to avoid.

BTW I saw an interview she did on GMA talking about her dad not being her bio dad and it was cute, she talked a bit more about her family. I knew Nnamdi had a kid from a previous relationship but it's interesting to hear they seem really close (she talked about "her girls").

She opened up to all the kids about being a donor baby and she said they were unbothered by it which goes to show how much attitudes have changed. And I'm sure it helps that they are already a blended family.

It does feel like nature is healing in terms of public perception, even if the actual laws are in hell.
