It's almost as if his pivot to right-wing conspiracy theory bullshit prior to this stuff coming out was...INTENTIONAL?!?!

This is his audience now. He probably knows it. To stay relevant and/or pitch that he's harrassed and attacked ala 45 levels. Yeah, I can see him doing it.

I'm curious when he'll be on Newsmax, Fox, Breitbart, OAN...

his pivot to right-wing conspiracy theory bullshit

As someone who's never really followed him, finding out about this whole right-wing pivot he's done kind of threw me for a loop. The last time I remember seeing him on tv, which admittedly was a while ago I'm pretty sure, he was still espousing anti-Trump (or at least anti-conservative) ideals. When did he make the 180 into right wing nuttery?

(I hasten to add: not a fan and definitely not defending him, I believe he did everything he's been accused of. I just thought his whole bag was being super leftist.)

No, you're right, he was definitely doing the lovable scamp free-love hipster thing for a while, and I think the turn came over the COVID years? I'm not really sure, but now I suspect it was more about the rise of Me Too; he knew he was going to get busted eventually.

Of course he's switched to the only platform that will still give him and other deplorable people money.

He overestimates his importance the UK government, they are to busy being incompetent fuck weasels trying to burn down the NHS and everything else. No way do they give a fuck about going after an overly verbose alleged rapist.

Plus, the UK has very strict libel laws that would allow him to sue for defamation of character, if he truly was innocent.

The fact that he hasn't says everything.

Oh yeah, the fucker knows he hasn't got a legal leg to stand on. That documentary would have gone past a battery of lawyers prior to broadcast.

Indeed. Not that they're foolproof or newspapers don't' print some absolute bollocks sometimes, but a story like this? This will have been lawyered to the nth degree. Every word picked over, every source and piece of evidence checked, several layers of legal department in multiple companies will have had to be satisfied that they could stack this up in front of a judge

And the horrifying thing is that in a years long investigation like this, they probably found a whole bunch of other stuff that they knew was likely true but they couldn't get the hard evidence to publish

You'd think his lawyers would be telling him to shut the fuck up and stay off the internet, no?

If there's one thing YouTubers have taught me, people in power never listen to legal counsel.

The conspiracy theorizing on the far right honestly terrifies me. Everything they detest or disagree with is conveniently explained away with literally anything no matter how insane. Like, obviously this is nothing new, but any time I really think about it it freaks me tf out.

And I can't say it's surprising that an egotistical rapist would go down that route, too.

He's not a rapist! It's all a deep state hit job!

As if he's that important lol.

Anyone with an internet connection now can start their own cult a la Russell Brand or Alex Jones and that is indeed scary.

I don't like him at all, but I have to admit, Peter Hitchens wrote an excellent article about Brand, warning that the future belongs to people like him unless something radical is done
