I can't believe it has been 10 years since White Lighter came out. Typhoon just released the 10th anniversary edition that includes a studio version of Reed Rd, which was left off the original because the label thought it was "too much." Too much awesome maybe.

The new album from The National released on Monday, of all days, but it has some really solid songs - I loved "Alphabet City" and "Space Invader" as early release singles - and "Smoke Detector" is one of the best songs they've released in years.

i wish kyungsoo took more risks with his solo stuff, it's always nice but plain. "lost" is the standout track, both versions.
