As someone who is part Native in heritage myself, I don't mess with spirits or ghosts (I'm not afraid of them, I just know not to mess with them). I'm not telling anyone what they should or shouldn't believe, but if you mess with ancestors of any sort/disrespect them from any tribe/heritage/background, that's on you to risk what happens after. Just saying.

Admittedly that's not my knowledgebase because I don't deal in the matters of spirits, respectfully spoken (although I knew people in my life in passing who did). And it's not something that is a one size fits all situation.

My step mother is Apache (I'm Creek) and she used to see ghosts all the time. Since she gave birth to my half brother, she doesn't see them any more and she doesn't understand why, but suspects she passed it on to him. But he's a close-lipped young man, so who knows.
