i’m started to get irritated by the professional dancers on the show being toted out to state over and over that the sag aftra members on the show aren’t doing anything against the rules so they shouldn’t be concerned
lol they’re making a major amptp member money. the wga considers it a struck show, and lbr, whatever contract agreement the wga comes to with the amptp is going to massively impact elements of the sag deal when their negotiations restart (especially if a real infrastructure for tracking streaming viewership is created bc of it) so it makes sense that the actors on these ~non-dramatic productions~ would have some hesitancy to do anything that puts money in disney’s pocket rn
As I understand it sag was not aware that this was a wga show, the cast did check in on them before and sag said it was fine and now they have contracts signed. Unfortunate all around
and the wga negotiating committee sent out an email to their members last night to be all hands on deck on the picket lines today because they need a show of force at this point of the process lollll yeah the deal totally seems done
