This week I’ve watched Arrival (stunning, amazing, etc) and a bunch of Seinfeld episodes lol

But I’m gonna watch When Harry Met Sally tonight because it seems like a fall movie, and maybe a couple more this weekend. Have almost reached my goal of 50 movies this year!

It’s most definitely a fall movie lol

Love hearing about your movie journey, you’ve inspired me to watch some classics I’ve never seen!

In honor of spooky season I recently watched the Exorcist and Rosemary’s Baby, neither of which I had seen, and loved them both! It takes a weird level of focus to force myself to watch something new instead of falling back on old faves, so thanks for the inspiration! <3

We watched How to Blow Up a Pipeline earlier this week, which I liked a lot - a good amount of tension, a talented cast, and a reasonably satisfying ending.

Over the next week, planning to see Barbie in IMAX, and The Royal Hotel as my first Beyond Fest screening. Probably gonna sneak another Stop Making Sense viewing in there, because man, that was the best thing I have seen on a big screen all damn year and it was made 40 years ago. And we'll watch No One's Gonna Save You if we get the chance.

Might go see Hud (1963) this weekend. It's not one I hear people talk about much, but it's showing at one of my fave theaters, it stars Paul Newman, and it has 4 on Letterboxd, so I feel compelled to check it out!

i am still doing my horror challenge so i've watched a lot of garbage. also watching a lot of elvis movies before they leave criterion channel at the end of the month. i caught dumb money in a preview last weekend, so this weekend i'm doing it lives inside, and i'm debating two foreign movies. also just waiting for our arthouse theater to put out their october schedule so i can plan out my moviegoing. ida has also started their falldocs screening series so i have a loooot of documentaries to watch over the next few weeks, starting with the mission this weekend.

oh and i got an email for an early screening of flora and son next week.

I marathonned the entire Saw franchise. I'd only ever seen the first one years ago, and for some reason that AMC parody with the puppet tickled me, and nearly all the movies are on Starz. They really just blend together and with some editing, the first 7 (what a phrase lmao) could be a miniseries what with all the ridiculous plot twists and reveals and flashbacks and heavy serialization lol. That said the first movie and the sixth movie were my favorites.

Otherwise, I watched Haunting in Venice which I actually liked. It gave me false hope though because than I checked out Death on the Nile and WOOF.

I'm watching The First Slam Dunk at an indie theater this weekend, and I'm waffling between watching Cassandro on Prime or also watching it at an indie theater.

I just saw It Lives Inside. It was a fine horror movie. Predictable but a good message. I like that it had cultural diversity.

I do want to see the creator. Love to see original sci-fi projects throwing their hat in the ring.
