lol maybe this is a sign of my immaturity, but cannot IMAGINE being a mother at 20 or 21. I know at that age I was NOT capable of being responsible for a whole other person.
Even at 35 I can't imagine it. I see so many of my contemporaries getting pregnant now and I'm like "do y'all want to retire or raise an 18-year-old in your 60s"? D:
Maybe it's all the makeup in that family picture but her daughter looks older than her. Not saying that's a bad thing, I guess the beauty standard today is returning to heavy makeup and smokey eyes from the late 2000s and early 2010s.
my mom had me just before her 20th birthday, and when i tell you she was very, very open about her not wanting me to have a child at that age. her constant refrain was, "if anything happens, i'm here."
now that i'm in my early 30s, she wishes i didn't take her advice so close to heart (she has grandma fever) but looking back, i cannot imagine having a child that young. i don't know how my mom did it. i didn't stop feeling like a kid until i got past my mid 20s.
My mom was 16 when I was born and never spoke about it. I had my first at 20 and while everything fine now (love my kids so much!) I really wish she’d given the same talk. Good on your mom💗
