"lucas lee is this movie star who doesn't have much range and he thinks he's great but he's actually terrible. I think you'd be perfect."

Literally this is Chris Evans, way to call yourself out lol.

He doesn't have range but he's not terrible.
He was the perfect Captain America imo. And he was good in Knives Out.

its SO damn funny.
It was before the parody movie genre got insufferable, and reduced to just references (referencing a movie isnt funny, omg. The Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, etc. were so bad).

The Scary Movie series had its up and downs.

BUT, i have a soft spot for DATE MOVIE for some reason.

For a cute white guy it's amazing how shitty his career has been.

I have an earnest/overthinking response to this, which is basically that I think he and a few other similar actors (like James Marsden) came up at a time when they were being asked to step into more anti-hero roles and leave the "leading man" parts for shlubby/nerdy guys because everyone was trying to be "different".

Obviously Chris Evans made a f*ckton of money as an Avenger, but he would've booked more (and more interesting) work if he'd been born a decade earlier.
