Yep! Most won't even consider numbing agents. Like, you're either able to handle getting a tattoo or you're not. If you need a break or multiple sessions, it's usually whatever. But having to be knocked out like that seems extreme and frankly dangerous

(with that said, I absolutely plan to get a tattoo myself, but my finances will never allow a multi-hour one anyway)

some people get even addicted to this kind of pain

“People are gonna think it’s crazy and it is crazy,” Prescott told Clarence Hill of the Star-Telegram. “I get that. But I’m crazy. That’s my point is I am. I know I am. I’m not afraid of nothing.”
Ok but you're clearly afraid of pain and getting tattoos if you need to medically sedate yourself.

Except being awake for a tattoo apparently.

Huh. My body knocked itself out both times I got a big tattoo. An excuse to lay down and do nothing for hours? My body loves it

Granted, all of my big pieces are on my arm so I’ve never really had that option.

The big ones are on my back and thigh. I didn't even wear earbuds or anything. For me it's like a massage with the occasional needle prick.
Now I did wake up when the dude went over the back of my ribs, but the only occasional scream came from the room across from us from girls getting their nips pierced

Pain is crazy that way, the only time I truly felt like crying was when I got my ribs tattooed, that shit was brutal.
