Same. Being sexualized so young, I can't imagine how difficult that would've been.
I think the HP trio had really good families behind them and the production seemed to care about them and protect them, which is not the norm.

Even so, the media treatment she got was ofc very different than what the boys got and she was younger and felt isolated from the cast at times. In the HP HBO Special, Emma said she was depressed and considered not returning to the franchise at some point.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I read something from DanRad where he said the way they grew up was insane but Emma had to deal with so much that him and Rupert didn't.

I imagine them largely being based in England throughout might have had something to do with them staying grounded as well as their team/families. If they'd ended up in Hollywood things might have been different.

Yeah. Emma had the worst of it.
And the UK press is vicious on it's own but I agree, going to LA would've been worse. I'm glad JKR insisted the cast were British and that the movies were filmed there. It was a very good decision considering most of the cast were kids.

I really admire how the trio turned out to be so well adjusted. None of them have even been on a scandal, none of them seemed interested in dating other famous people or selling their personal lives for publicity. They're not perfect people ofc but by Hollywood standards they all seem pretty normal.

I was actually JUST about to comment on this post asking if people have extensively combed through the archives of late night shows to see what the hosts were saying about these things during the time. Because I cant stand that they get a pass when a lot of their jokes/topics were vile disgusting things like this and I want to know exactly who mentioned things like the Olsen twin website as some sort of funny "haha this exists everybody lol" which would make people go and look at it which is just as bad as having created it in the first place. But unfortunately theres no way to really go through everything and know exactly what was said because google is completely useless for any sort of archived anything anymore. So we have to rely on people having these random clips and posting them on twitter.
