I posted this in the FFA or ontd round up a few days ago, but meh, I'm gonna mention it again until I can get more people to watch them. Lol

I watched Love Affair (1939) and Now Voyager (1944) recently. I really liked how both had non-anglo foreign leads (one is German and one is French) and it's never really addressed in the plot at all. The two are just dudes with subtle accents, no mention of how or why they have them. If they were made now, it'd either be a joke at their expense or a huge part of the plot. Was pleasantly surprised and ended up buying both on blu ray. 10/10 would recommend.

Love Affair:

Love Now, Voyager. Bette Davis doesn't do subtle but she's so good. And Paul Henreid was a great foil to her.

Yeah. She tends to go ott a lot, but Henreid was subtle enough to counter her. Lol

It’s looking dire at our cinema for the next few weeks. Besides the big releases, it’s only Jawan.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 1 felt empty and charm-free to me, so there is no way I’m watching 3. The Nun was also boring as shit, so no to that sequel as well

I love me some travel movies so I’ll watch this even if 2 was meh.

Eventually would love to go to Greece (fingers crossed for next summer) but until then, I’ll just pretend in the theater 🙃

Okay it's fiction but why should you accept your murder inheritance?
