Online rumors were swirling that Charli XCX unfollowed pop bestie Rina Sawayama over Matty Healy. For context, Charli is currently romantically involved with George Daniel, a member of Matty Healy's band (The 1975), and is friends with both Matty and Rina.
After Sawayama posted her ‘This Hell’ visualizer on Instagram, Charli commented, “apparently I’m going to hell…”
XCX then cryptically tweeted “messy era” with no further explanation on Twitter.
Today she took to Twitter to explain the situation after many called her out for supporting Matty over Rina.
