I’m curious what viewership has been over the course of the series with shows like this and pretty little liars that had such massive success in the beginning and then became parodies of themselves (without the realization of this).

Everything PPL did after the time jump was a complete waste of time. They were never gonna top the Dollhouse eps, so why bother? That was batshit crazy and made all the build up completely worth it.

Though, I have to admit, the final explanation for how Alison was "killed" was so Looney Tunes that it's looped it way around to being good. But the time jump and Spencer's evil "British" twin was still not worth that one episode of entertainment.
